Here is a shot of my work space from the doorway. It's kind of an under-the-stairs type unfinished storage closet that I share with my wife. She actually turned it into our workshop. If it weren't for her, I would probably be out freezing in the garage. The textures and glues and paints are not good things to have in an office with carpet.
Here's a quick little tutorial on how to make a brick wall.
In the below image:
1. Place some bricks in a plastic tray.
2. Cover the entire surface with glue (try to avoid the edges where the bricks touch the plastic)
3. Let it dry overnight.
4. Gently separate the areas where the glue dried to the plastic.
5. You now have a brick wall to use in your diorama. (Note that the back of the wall will have that glistening look of dried glue. If you don't want the wall to look that way, you'll need to use a different method.)
